What weekend ABA therapy looks like
During Saturday morning routines
Practicing breakfast routines, getting dressed, transitioning between activities, and managing the slower pace of weekend mornings.

At the park or playground
Building social skills, taking turns on equipment, asking to join other kids, and navigating unstructured play.

During errands and outings
Learning to stay close in the grocery store, waiting in line, asking for what they need, and handling transitions in the community.

During family meals
Practicing mealtime skills, using utensils, requesting items, staying seated, and engaging in conversation with family.

During downtime at home
Playing independently, engaging with siblings, managing screen time transitions, and practicing calm-down strategies.

Who benefits from weekend ABA
Families who:
- Work full-time during the week and need flexible therapy hours
- Want their child to receive more therapy hours than weekdays alone allow
- Need consistent support seven days a week, not just Monday–Friday
- Want to be present during sessions and learn strategies in real time
- Have children who benefit from practicing skills during family routines
The skills we build on weekends
Communication
Asking for what they need during family time, expressing feelings, requesting help, and engaging in back-and-forth conversation.
Social skills
Playing with siblings, interacting with kids at the park, sharing toys, taking turns, and reading social cues in natural settings.
Daily living skills
Getting dressed, brushing teeth, cleaning up toys, following weekend routines, and managing less structured time.
Behavior regulation
Handling disappointment when plans change, waiting for preferred activities, managing frustration, and using calm-down strategies.
Community skills
Staying safe in public, following instructions during outings, waiting patiently, and navigating community spaces with confidence.
Insurance coverage for weekend ABA
Most major insurance plans cover ABA therapy on weekends, just like they cover weekday sessions.
We work with insurance providers across Maryland, including Medicaid. Weekend therapy is typically covered the same as therapy provided during the week.
We verify your coverage, handle authorizations, and manage all the paperwork so you can focus on your child.
